Job summary

Newhall Surgery is looking for a full-time / part-time (25 to hours) dynamic and motivated Nursing Associate / Trainee Nursing Associate to join our Nursing Team. Thesuccessful candidate will have previous experience of working within Primary Care as a Nursing Associate preferably with a working knowledge and experience of NHS Health Checks,ECGs, blood pressures, phlebotomy, foot checks, urine analysis, spirometry, earsyringing, cervical cytology, wound care, generalhealth and lifestyle advice, vaccinations, injections and immunisations. Alternatively as a Trainee Nursing Associate, you would have needed to have started or commence the 2 year Nursing Associate Foundation Degree.

Do you have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills? Would youlike to be part of a team helping to shape the face of the Practice but alsoplaying a key part in managing change and development within the organisation?

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting role working closely with the Nursing team which includes an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Practice Nurse and a Health Care Assistant and is supported by our GP Partners, Management Team and other clinicians.

There is plenty of scope for development within the role; the Practice embraces change, welcomes new ideas and encourages progression and growth. Newhall Surgery wishes to continue to provide an excellent service for our growing patient population.

Newhall Surgery has a list size of approximately 11,000 patients. Wehave an active Patient Participation Group and endeavour to liaise well withinthe local community. We are active on Facebook and have good reviews within NHSChoices.

Our clinical staff consists of 3 GP Partners, 7 GPs, 3 GP Registrars, 1 Foundation Year 2 Doctor plus a dedicated Nursing Team, Pharmacy Team, a Health & WellbeingCoach and a Patient Care Coordinator.

We also have committed and professional administrative, secretarial andcare navigation members, plus our dedicated and professional Management Team.

We are a friendly Practice who believe that communication, team working,well-being and learning are vital to the success of our organisation. We have two formal 'get togethers' per year with other socials to help support our internal communicationprocesses and the feeling of 'family' within the organisation, plus monthly training events.
