Why this role matters
The Service Provision team is critical to the day-to-day operation of BT Networks.
In this role, you will be overseeing a key area within Service Provision, you will be responsible for the delivery of crucial elements of projects such as the replacement of UK’s Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) with a fully digital network, to name one of many areas you’ll be working in.
You will be a problem solver and part of a team that develops solutions for real world programmes. In addition, you will work on key projects for National Critical Infrastructure, providing the network which keeps the nation safe and protected.
Our commitment with Ofcom means we must be sensitive with the information we share and who we share it with, you’ll work with integrity and mindfulness to ensure we remain compliant.
This role is based in our Birmingham city centre office where you will be part of a team 20+ plus people, who are very friendly and supportive so expect to make new friends. Our hybrid working model means you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
You'll have the following responsibilities
In this role, you will Champion the customer requirements focusing on the delivery of high-quality products, meeting our customers’ needs and expectations.
You will have a focus on continuous improvement, leaving no stone unturned in your quest to find a better way.
In addition:
• You’ll be proactive quick to respond to the needs of the business and our customers
• Be accountable for the delivery of requirements whilst managing stakeholders’ expectations, scheduling work and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, most importantly carrying out live network implementations.
• You’ll be working in a matrix environment – working with and exposure to other teams across Network and BT Group.
• You’ll ensure all decision-making processes are compliant with legislation.
• Ensuring the scope of Service Provision delivery is understood, including systems and networks where necessary and that the solution meets the business needs.
• Drives improved ways of working and processes of network services on behalf of BT and the BT group.

You'll have the following skills and experience
Ideally, we are looking for someone with a Telecoms and Networks technical delivery background, with a passion for Lean/ Continuous Improvement. However, if you have the right skillset, we would be keen to see your application and we can offer training and development in some areas.
You will have a background in delivery management and will be a skilled communicator who will relish the opportunity to use data, articulate strategies using your story telling skills. In addition, you will love a challenge and utilising your problem-solving skills ensuring issues are resolved to prevent a recurrence.
Additional skills and experience
• Your ability to communicate with stakeholders using data to back that up. You use advanced knowledge of network engineering so that you or your team can safely build, monitor, upgrade and repair networks, services, infrastructure and products. You contribute to a zero-harm culture.
• Experience in root cause analysis, and problem solving that arise from the interaction of multiple components. Thrives in dynamic and uncertain environments
• Accountable for the delivery and evaluation of plans in terms of design, resource and budget constraints

Mandatory
• Demonstratable experience of IP & Data network planning or delivery.

Desirable skills include :
