Newcastle College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer to join our expert teaching team within Health, to inspire the next generation and help them develop the skills needed by industry.
 

The Health department is home to over students and delivers qualifications in subjects including different levels within Health and Social, Psychology, Sociology, Counselling and many more within Health. Staff and students are based on the Rye Hill campus mainly situated within the Parsons building


In this busy and exciting role, you’ll bring your passion, skills and industry expertise to the classroom. Working with young people across a range of abilities, you will teach on courses from Entry Level to Level 7, translating the technical requirements of the workplace into high quality and engaging lessons.
 

You will have high expectations of your students and be committed to supporting their progress and developing positive relationships with them. Working collaboratively with other teachers and managers across our dedicated curriculum teams, you will seek innovative ways to engage students in the subject and motivate them to succeed.
 

You will promote a positive and inclusive culture in your classroom, inspiring students of all abilities to attend and engage in their learning, including those with special educational needs.

Alongside your classes, you will contribute to developing and implementing the curriculum and play an active role in ensuring the success of your department and the College, undertaking a range of administrative duties and developing assessment strategies.
