Research Fellow- Physical Activity

About the role
We are seeking a research associate to contribute to a programme of work on physical activity and cancer. The recently formed Prospective Physical Activity, Sitting and Sleep consortium (ProPASS) comprises a range of international cohorts with thigh worn accelerometry. We aim to use ProPASS to examine the dose-response relationships between physical behaviours and incident cancer and mortality. We will use both established and novel statistical approaches to understand the independent, joint, and cumulative associations of physical behaviours with cancer risk.
Role specific details:
• This role is available from immediately for 12 months in the first instance.

About you
The right candidate is expected to have worked extensively on large population cohort data sets and possess strong statistical skills. Experience in the field of physical activity and health is desirable. Ability to work within multidisciplinary, international teams will constitute an advantage.
The Post holder must have higher academic degree PhD, or evidence of an equivalent level of attainment in research publications.
A track record of internationally excellent scholarly publication in the field of physical activity / epidemiology / data science is essential.
