Main duties of the job

Our health visiting teams provide support to families with children aged 0-5. You'll have a variedcaseload and you'll need to be confident and flexible to provide the best support for 'll work as part of a team to keep children safe and well in Maidstone. You will get to use yourclinical judgment to support evidence-based care planning and make sure that children and familieswho use our services have a good of your duties will be:

Developing integrated care programmes in partnership with senior practitioners and/or commissioners.Supporting in the supervision/ line management and development of all junior staff. Undertaking a range of competent clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes ofthe service. Acting as lead and senior practitioner to support junior staff support assessment/reassessments ofservice users and/or pathways with complex needs across the relevant field of health care. Supporting and making recommendations to senior managers in order to prioritise and focus effortsto achieve business objectives, service improvement strategies and statutory requirements.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Registered health care professional (NMC registration) Health related degree and evidence of relevant post graduate development at Level 6 Evidence of Specialist qualifications relevant to area of practice - Specialist Community Public Health Nurse

Desirable

PRINCE 2 or equiv. project management training Management or supervisory qualification or experience of study PTLLS/DTLLS, PGCE or Certificate in Education

Experience

Essential

Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of practice Practical experience in managing health related projects/complex caseloads Supporting others (mentor / educator / supervisor) experience

Desirable

Experience of leading and managing teams Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (E-Pay / E-roster/ AT-P/ RIO)

Knowledge

Essential

Understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance to relevant to care setting and its application across health care services Evidence of continued relevant professional development and implementation in practice within the last 12 months
