Occcupational Therapy Assistant/Support Worker

Location: Leeds and Surrounding Area

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant/Support Worker to join our team in Leeds and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for working across different clients to support them with activities and daily living, as directed by an Occupational Therapist and our Clinical team. Please note that the client group will be individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical support to clients in their daily activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Assist clients in participating in therapeutic activities and exercises as prescribed by an Occupational Therapist.
- Work closely with clients to help them achieve their goals and improve their independence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting for more than 1 year.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work across different clients and locations in Leeds and surrounding areas.
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is ESSENTIAL.

Shift Pattern:
- The shift pattern will vary but will normally be across Monday to Sunday, from 8 am to 8 pm.
