Main duties of the job

Your role as the Lead Nurse (Interventional Radiology) is to co-ordinate, manage and develop an effective, high quality service in line with Trust targets.

You will ensure the effective running of procedure lists and pre-procedure preparation of all patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, maintain effective and good communication with the team, demonstrate good knowledge, experience and confidence in all interventional procedures, provide care whilst adhering to trust protocols and guidelines. The post holder will be responsible for the pro-active case management of patients as part of the multi-disciplinary team within their clinical area of responsibility. In addition, the post holder will provide nursing leadership within this area, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety. The post holder will provide the ward with 24-hour Nursing and operational management ensuring a high-quality service with cost effective use of resources.
