An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Endoscopy Unit at the . We are recruiting staff to increase our service to cover 7 days improving patient access. We are a JAG accredited Endoscopy Unit with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. You will be supported by our staff to become competent in assisting with a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy procedures. Main duties of the job

QEHB Endoscopy department provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures over 6 procedure rooms including fluoroscopy (x-ray).

including:

Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopies, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Bronchoscopies, Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), stenting, HALO, Spyglass, Enteroscopy, and insertion of PEGs and NJs. We also host the national Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP).

The role will include all aspects of Endoscopy, Inpatients, Outpatients and x-ray, inculding participation in an emergency on-call bleed rota.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given within the department. We have an extensive competency based training pack and full support will be given to ensure you are able to work in both our inpatient and outpatient areas, caring for all types of patients having both routine and emergency procedures. There is also acess available to specialist courses to help develop your knowledge.

Good team work and communication is essential as we work with a mixture of Specialist Nursing Teams, Medics and Surgeons.
