The successful candidate will manage own caseload of varied Education Casework, with Paralegal and Legal Admin Support; and be a willing Team Member with an ability to support other colleagues as work demands

Main duties and responsibilities
Manage own caseload of 1st Tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care) Cases Education Law Judicial Review Claims Education Law Advice Assist other members of the team with Delivery of Training Conduct legal proceedings before the courts and tribunals, including advocacy Attend off-site visits and meetings, such as Court Hearings, clients’ offices etc Assist the team and wider department with the development of the regulatory practice Carry out and attend marketing and business development activities and events Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KPI are adhered to Comply with relevant policies and procedures Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role.

About You

Solicitor or associate, experienced in Education law either in-house or in private practice Experience of conducting advocacy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management and organisation skills Ability to multi-task and prioritise Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative Flexible approach
