We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK. Our success is a result of the hard work of our people; they are experts in their field whether it’s baking, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or the many departments within the central functions team based in our head office in High Wycombe. An opportunity exists at Hovis Wellingborough to join a small team of manufacturing operatives responsible for operating the sites flour mills producing the highest quality bakers flour to Hovis bakeries. Site operations are 24/7 and the role requires this team member to work on a rotating 7 on then 7 off shift pattern alternating days and nights. In position the key tasks are supporting the mill process controller in the safe , effective and efficient running of the flour mills whilst compelting of a number of sampling and product protection tests. The role has a blend of both physical and adminstrative tasks compelted againts established procedures and routines. The uniqueness of the operation will see a full and detailled training programme implemented with a longer running development and learning plan enabling the deliverable of a fully skilled operator to be achieved.
