GSL Education Bournemouth Branch are currently collaborating with an outstandingschool located in Christchurch that is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Supply Teacher to join their team. This role offers the perfect opportunity to engage with a diverse range of students, ensuring their educational needs are met in the absence of their regular teachers.

As a Supply Teacher, your role involves delivering lessons across various subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning. You will manage classroom behaviour, create a positive learning environment, and follow or adapt lesson plans as needed.

Location: Christchurch
Salary: £120- £150 Per Day, depending on experience
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/ Full-time

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and ensure a conducive learning environment.
  • Follow and deliver pre-set lesson plans, ensuring learning objectives are met and students remain engaged.
  • Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
  • Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and age groups, demonstrating versatility in teaching methods.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a seamless educational experience for all students.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have a specialised teaching qualification (PGCE or QTS).
  • Have prior experience in a teaching role, preferably as a supply teacher.
  • Have strong classroom management abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Possess the ability to quickly adapt to different subjects and teaching styles to meet the needs of various classrooms.

What Do We Want From You: To thrive in these roles, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
