Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Today, we own and manage around 7,000 homes across West Norfolk, making a difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles. We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team. Over the last 14 years, there have been numerous achievements, not least delivering our tenants’ promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

Requirements

  • Impartially & comprehensively conduct investigations into cases of anti-social behaviour, and be proactive in initiating the necessary resolutions within the prescribed timescales in accordance with Freebridge Policy & Procedure
  • Take a responsive, reflective approach to determining and assessing risk to victims, liaising closely with colleagues and statutory agencies to ensure risk is managed and support and protection provided as appropriate
  •  Maintain a strong understanding of the range of current and relevant enforcement tools, being able to confidently select and recommend the most appropriate method of resolution for cases, working closely with the Assistant Tenancy Manager, and colleagues in the legal team, to deliver any necessary tenancy enforcement
  • Work closely with other teams across the business to ensure properties within the allocated area are well maintained and managed, present a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and staff and that estates and communal areas benefit the community
  • Confidently represent Freebridge in court proceedings
  • Maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding principles and practices, engaging with customers to take a person centered approach to safeguarding children and adults at risk in our communities

Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience of working with a wide range of customers with varied and complex needs, in challenging and confrontational situations
  • Experience of interviewing and case investigation/management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and domestic abuse best practise
  • Understanding of the role and scope of Social Housing providers, and access to these services
  • UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
