About the RoleWe have a vacancy for an Employment Recovery Worker within our Brighter Futures Employment Service, delivering a range of employment, recovery focused support to individuals across the County Durham area who have a mental health need. Working closely with a range of referral agents, you will promote the service and establish/maintain strong working relationships with external agencies whilst maintaining your own caseload. About YouWith experience of working in community-based or employability focused services, you will be dedicated to empowering individuals on their road to recovery and helping them achieve their social, training, volunteering, and employment-related objectives. You will possess the ability to identify barriers, understand needs and motivate people whilst promoting their independence. Your responsibilities will encompass one-to-one engagement, coordinating activities within the service and community, administrative duties and directing individuals to suitable provision. You will also support individuals to stay employed and collaborate with employers to foster good mental health in the workplace. You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and extensive experience in partnership and multi-agency working. You will also have outstanding knowledge of local resources, providers, and employers and will be able to collaborate closely with various community support teams, internal colleagues, and other agencies, ensuring optimal support. You will demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results through assessment, planning and the facilitation of activities focused on recovery and vocational skills. You will also be proficient in working with individuals with diverse complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse, learning disabilities, and physical health requirements. It is essential that you are educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
