About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employment Recovery Worker to join our Brighter Futures Employment Service in County Durham. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering employment, recovery-focused support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the service and establish/maintain strong working relationships with external agencies
  • Maintain a caseload and work closely with referral agents to identify barriers and understand needs
  • Support individuals to secure paid employment and stay employed, collaborating with employers to foster good mental health in the workplace
  • Coordinate activities within the service and community, and direct individuals to suitable provision
Requirements
  • Experience of working in community-based or employability-focused services
  • Dedication to empowering individuals on their road to recovery and helping them achieve their social, training, volunteering, and employment-related objectives
  • Ability to identify barriers, understand needs, and motivate people while promoting their independence
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in partnership and multi-agency working
  • Outstanding knowledge of local resources, providers, and employers, with the ability to collaborate closely with various community support teams, internal colleagues, and other agencies
