Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Production Operative's to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent attention to detail, and have a passion for producing high-quality food products. This role involves working on production lines, conducting quality checks, handling raw meats, and operating within a flour environment. The ability to lift up to 25kg pastry pins and perform repetitive tasks is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Production Lines: Work efficiently on fast-paced production lines to meet daily production targets. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the quality and consistency of food products.
- Quality Checks: Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to maintain high standards of quality and safety. Identify and report any deviations from specifications.
- Handling Raw Meats: Handle and process raw meats (pork) according to food safety regulations and company protocols. Adhere to strict hygiene practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure product integrity.
- Flour Environment: Work in an environment where flour is present, following proper safety precautions to minimize the risk of allergen contamination and maintain cleanliness.
- Lifting and Handling: Lift and manoeuvre heavy objects such as 25kg pastry pins and other materials as required. Follow safe lifting techniques to prevent injury and maintain personal safety.
- Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks as part of the production process, maintaining focus and attention to detail to ensure consistent product quality.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and efficient production flow. Communicate any issues or concerns promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations: Strictly adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following hygiene protocols, and participating in safety training programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a food production environment preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and weekends as required.
