Melting Operative

Purpose of Role:

A fantastic opportunity has become available at Weir Minerals Europe to join our Melting Department as an Operative. 

As the melting operative you will be part of a team to safely deliver to production needs, you will be required to work as part of a 3 shift rotation working in the melting department on the furnaces and as a ladle operative.

To work as part of a team delivering the highest quality castings Safely operate machinery and casting equipment Maximise production out put Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above. Melting experience helpful but not essential Be able to work in extreme heat during hot months Be able to work 3 shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm-6am) on a 2 week rotation
