Job Title: Melting operative

Location: Todmorden, Onsite

Purpose of Role:

- A fantastic opportunity has become available at Weir Minerals Europe to join our Melting Department as an Operative.
- As the melting operative you will be part of a team to safely deliver to production needs, you will be required to work as part of a 3 shift rotation working in the melting department on the furnaces and as a ladle operative.
Key Responsibilities:

- To work as part of a team delivering the highest quality castings
- Safely operate machinery and casting equipment
- Maximise production out put
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

- Melting experience helpful but not essential
- Be able to work in extreme heat during hot months
- Be able to work 3 shifts (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm & 10pm-6am) on a 2 week rotation
