Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and additional needs to reach their full potential?

Join our team at Teaching Personnel. We are recruiting for a small, independent school in Salwick, Preston, where every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life.

About the school:

The school caters for autisic children aged 4-12 who may have a range of additional needs.

The school is set in a lovely area, in a stunning 1880's country house, surrounded by eight acres of beautiful parkland - a serene and inspiring environment for both students and staff.

At the heart of everything the school does, is a commitment to the individual needs of each child.

Through their rich, varied curriculum and a strong focus on life skills development, they empower their pupils to thrive. They prioritise communication, social skills, sensory processing, and emotional regulation to prepare each child for greater independence beyond school.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support to children with autism and additional needs.
  • Assist in creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

What they are looking for:

  • Experience working with children with autism and additional needs (desirable but not essential; training can be provided).
  • A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to upholding the values and ethos of our school.
  • The ability to adapt and respond to the unique needs of each child.

What TP offer:
