About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as SEN Support Staff in schools across the Fylde coast. As a SEN Support Staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs.
  • Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure cohesive and effective student support.
  • Assist with classroom activities, including preparing materials and organizing resources.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is preferred.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or education are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of students with SEN.
