We are searching for a seasoned HR Manager, with a generalist background, to join our vibrant, dynamic team, in a ‘scale-up’ environment.

Reporting to our Chief of Staff, you'll have direct oversight of all HR operations. As the primary point of contact for all employees regarding HR matters, you’ll be approachable, and empathetic, with a wealth of employee relation knowledge. To be eligible for this position, you must possess a qualification of Level 5 as a minimum, or hold equivalent experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide HR counsel and support across the business on all ‘people’ related matters.
  • Manage the HR function day-to-day, providing support, advice, and guidance.
  • Consistently evaluate and enhance all HR processes, practices, and systems to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive succession planning initiatives, fostering talent development, and facilitating seamless internal transitions to maximise organisational potential.
  • Collaborate closely with our talent acquisition specialist and hiring managers to uphold best practices, consistently elevating standards in recruitment, training, and retention efforts.
  • Champion a performance culture which supports continued employee development.
  • Provide advice on all areas of Employee Relations, including disciplinary, absence management, flexible working, performance management, right to work and grievances.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are compliant and proactively communicate potential changes to senior leadership, being clear on what they could mean to the business.
  • Liaise with the senior leadership team to ascertain, plan and manage the HR budget.
  • Collaborate with our external immigration partner to ensure compliance with right-to-work regulations across all new hires.
  • Implement and analyse HR metrics, to empower both business and HR decision-making, encompassing employee retention, engagement, salary benchmarking, and DEI.
  • Deploy efficient methods for collecting employee feedback, including surveys and focus groups. Develop a strategic framework in accordance with the requirements of prestigious programs like 'The Times Best Companies', leveraging internal feedback to inform and shape decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate access to tailored training programs, ongoing support and valuable resources, to help first-time managers build confidence and cultivate strong leadership abilities.

What We're Looking For:

  • CIPD qualified, minimum Level 5 (Level 7 is preferred.)
  • HR generalist, highly experienced in Employee Relations and conflict resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced HR best practice, compliance, procedures, and up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Proficient in developing, implementing, and periodically updating HR policies and procedures, tailored to the needs of the business.
  • The confidence to both guide and challenge high level stakeholders, always prioritising best practise.
  • Experience managing payroll, benefits, and compliance.
  • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence, you are recognised for your superior organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • You understand the importance of company culture, deeply care about people and business needs, and maintain a can-do attitude no matter the challenge.
  • You champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the HR function.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels.
  • Pragmatic and solutions oriented, you are personable, friendly, and approachable.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage workloads effectively.
  • Experience working with global employees (UK/EU/US) is beneficial.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Casual office environment.
  • Subsidised office lunches that promote healthy eating and encourage to try something new.
  • While we request some flexibility from you, we’re also open to flexible work hours to accommodate a win-win situation for all.
  • We have a continuous development budget to put towards courses, training and conferences.
  • Private health insurance that covers many physical and mental health costs, including dental and vision cash back.
  • Gym membership discounts via AXA Health.
  • Group life insurance and a 24/7 GP access.
  • Cycle to Work scheme – we’ll buy a bike up-front, and you can pay it off over the next 12 months via a salary sacrifice scheme.
  • We organise occasional in-person office socials to make sure you can build on deeper trusting connections with peers.
  • 33 days base holiday (25 days + 8 bank holidays) including company closure between Christmas and NY.

Interview Process:

Our interviews are quite informal and conversational, they are generally carried out over a 3-stage process. To help us learn more about your workplace behaviours and preferences, you’ll also be invited to complete a short Predictive Index (PI) Behavioural and Cognitive Assessment. Depending on the position, you may also be requested to undertake a technical assessment. The final stage normally involves meeting with senior members of the management team in our office in North Greenwich, London.
