Do you want to be part of B’s Dream Team?

This is an exciting opportunity to provide life-changing support to a young lady who will be transitioning from hospital to her new forever home in Bromsgrove. B is an amazing, young autistic woman with a wicked sense of humour, boundless energy, and with a genuine interest in and caring nature towards others. You will be supporting B to live a full and active life at home and in her local community.

We are looking for a team of multi-skilled Advanced Support Specialists who have significant experience of delivering support underpinned by Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) principles. You will be required to provide trauma-informed support that follows structured clinical guidance, building on what currently works well for B. Experience of supporting people with Pathological Demand Avoidance would be advantageous, but in-depth training will be provided.

You will have access to a comprehensive programme of learning and development, including bespoke training from highly respected clinicians and a national NHS team of behavioural specialists, as well as access to accredited PBS Coach training.

B would like a staff team who are happy, caring, enthusiastic, bubbly and supportive. Every day will be different and B likes to keep busy with a range of activities. B loves drama and would like staff who are willing to get involved in drama and role play with her. It is important that you like animals as B loves her pets (a rabbit and a guinea pig) and will need some support to look after them. A good sense of humour is essential. B is really active and likes going to the gym, so needs staff who are active and energetic. B would love some staff who are good at cooking and able to share their skills. Being a talented singer, dancer or being able to play an instrument would also be a bonus.

You will have excellent observation skills and be responsive and sensitive to B’s emotions and subtle changes in B’s presentation.

You will contribute and work towards a psychologically safe environment for B, yourself, and your colleagues. You will be able to approach each day with a fresh, positive outlook. B requires consistent support from a team she trusts and feels safe with, so you must be committed and reliable.

New team members will be expected to undertake transitional work in Lancashire in November and December, prior to B moving into her new home. This is likely to include some overnight stays. All travel and hotel expenses will be paid for.

Your values:

You will know how to connect with people and be passionate about supporting people to live independently. You will also be a brilliant mentor and share your skills and experiences with your colleagues.

Naturally it is important too that you share our company values - We Include; We Deliver; We Aspire; We Respect; We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. People's values are important to use, so we look for people with:
