Job Description

We are looking for an operator to support the Tees Dock operations team to facilitate the handling, storage and distribution of company products by operating machinery and equipment in an effective manner. The role will support the operations function in all aspects of the Tees Dock Terminal activities to ensure safe and effective operations as laid out by Terminal Management.

About the role

Some activities include:

Reclaiming products using a portal reclaim scraper Loading shipping vessels using the large ship loader Discharging trains and operating locomotives Driving and operating front end loaders to deliver product to road vehicles or hoppers Operation of forklift trucks, MEWPs and Bobcat Housekeeping of products in the event of spillages General maintenance activities for operational equipment Undertaking risk assessment and follow work instructions & managers rules

About you

Experience in the operation of various mobile heavy plant machinery & equipment Experience of working at heights, ideally within a dock environment or similarly a heavy industrial environment A practical understanding of Health and Safety, HASWA Regulations and ability to demonstrate safe working practices  Able to understand the principles of good quality and environmental management Risk Assessment trained IOSH Working Safely trained Effective Communication Skills Flexible and willing to work any shift arrangements required to cover the varying day to day operation of the Terminal
