We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at SNAP as a Finance Officer. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.


The Finance team play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of our back-office finance functions. This role encompasses a diverse range of key responsibilities including but not limited to invoicing, self-billing, purchase ledger management and bank payment processing.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experience on the end-to-end finance processing procedures and best practice, adept at handling unforeseen challenges, and is able to think on their feet when dealing with unforeseen challenges.


Job responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with Customer Service, Credit Control, and Management Accounts teams, ensuring end-to-end financial processes are completed with zero errors
  • Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, prepare supplier payments, perform bank reconciliations, and obtain purchase order numbers from customers in a timely manner
  • Proactively raise any issues or concerns, providing timely and confident communication to stakeholders within agreed SLA timelines
  • Ensure supplier payments are made in line with payment terms and timings of payment runs.
  • Ensure payments to suppliers are not made unnecessarily early, preserving company cash flow.
  • Manage supplier cost codings and ledger control effectively.
  • Ensure stock item invoices are dealt with properly and costs allocated correctly.
  • Self-Billing: Ensure partners are self-billed and paid in accordance with agreements.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate customer invoicing, obtaining purchase order numbers where required.
  • Maintain finance controls, including reviewing requests for customer credit notes.
  • Manage supplier relationships to maximise working capital.
  • Maintain banking controls with thorough documentation for second approvals.

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience in ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, and transaction reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial ledger software (such as Sage or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure
  • Full, clean driving license
  • Displays critical thinking and credible presentational capability
