Job Title: Biologist(Entry)Biological R&DR&DCS Location: ChesterfieldMO 63017 Duration: 11 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite Job Description: A BS/MS biologist (or at least 2years lab assay or field experience) is needed with strongtechnical skills to support studies to evaluate the safety of BCSproducts. Key responsibilities include:
  • Support field studies by identifying andenumerating fieldcollected insects to family/genus level as part ofthe ecological risk assessment for biotechnologyderived plantproducts.
  • Conductdevelopment of laboratory insect bioassays to meet GLP and qualitystandards.
  • Providequality control support for data and reports.
  • Ensure general lab and fieldequipment maintenance.
  • Support additional field and lab activities as needed.
Desired skills include:
  • Stronginsect identification skills
  • Fundamental background in related areas of environmentalbiology such as entomology or toxicology
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in adynamic teambased environment strong basic laboratory or field andexperimental design skills
  • Strong organizational and data documentation skillsexperience with electronic data systems and
  • Attention to detail and strongwriting skills. Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices or qualitysystem best practices is beneficial but not required.
