Due to our continued work winning success wecurrently have a new opportunity for an experienced ProjectDirectorto be based inBorehamwood/ Iver/ Slough for a new powernetworks project.

We are looking for a leadingProjectDirector experienced within power and energyyou will beresponsible for leading and overseeing largescale power generationand infrastructure projects from inception to completion. You willprovide strategic direction leadership and management oversight toensure the successful delivery of projects on time within budgetand to the required qualitystandards.

Duties andResponsibilities

ProjectLeadership andStrategy:

  • Providestrategic direction and leadership for power generation andinfrastructure projects aligning project objectives withorganizational goals andpriorities.
  • Develop andimplement project strategies plans and initiatives to ensuresuccessful project delivery and achievement of projectobjectives.
  • Lead projectteams and stakeholders in the development of project scope goalsdeliverables andtimelines.

StakeholderManagement:

  • Serve asthe primary point of contact for project stakeholders includingclients regulatory authorities government agencies and communitygroups.
  • Build and maintainstrong relationships with stakeholders ensuring effectivecommunication collaboration and engagement throughout the projectlifecycle.
  • Addressstakeholder concerns inquiries and feedback in a timely andprofessional manner fostering positive relationships and supportfor projectinitiatives.

ProjectPlanning andExecution:

  • Oversee theplanning execution and delivery of power generation andinfrastructure projects ensuring adherence to project plansschedules andbudgets.
  • Manage projectrisks issues and dependencies taking proactive measures to mitigaterisks and resolve issues in a timelymanner.
  • Monitor projectprogress track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provideregular updates to senior management andstakeholders.

ContractManagement andProcurement:

  • Overseethe negotiation administration and management of contracts withclients vendors suppliers andsubcontractors.
  • Ensurecompliance with contractual obligations regulatory requirements andindustry standards.
  • Manageprocurement activities including sourcing evaluation and selectionof vendors andsuppliers.

QualityAssurance andCompliance:

  • Implementquality management processes and procedures to ensure that projectdeliverables meet the required quality standards andspecifications.
  • Conductregular inspections audits and quality checks to monitor projectperformance and compliance with regulatoryrequirements.
  • Documentproject activities deviations and corrective actions to supportproject documentation and reportingrequirements.

FinancialManagement andBudgeting:

  • Manageproject budgets forecasts and financial resources ensuringeffective cost control and budget management throughout the projectlifecycle.
  • Monitor projectexpenditures track financial performance and identify opportunitiesfor cost savings and efficiencyimprovements.
  • Prepare andpresent financial reports forecasts and analysis to seniormanagement andstakeholders.

SkillsandExperience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Business Administrationor related field. A masters degree or professional qualification(e.g. Chartered Engineer) is desirable.
  • Extensive experience in the power industry with a proventrack record of successfully delivering largescale power generationand infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadershipand management skills with the ability to lead and inspiremultidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability toeffectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at alllevels.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolvingskills with the ability to effectively manage complex projects andresolve issues.
  • Knowledge of relevantregulations standards and best practices in the powerindustry.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification orequivalent is desirable.
  • Chartered Engineerstatus or membership of a relevant professional body (e.g.Institution of Engineering and Technology Institution of MechanicalEngineers) would beadvantageous.
