Your role at Signature
As the Regional Admiral Nurse, you will support the Dementia Care Managers in the operational delivery of the My life strategy raising awareness with a high visible presence in the clinical areas and provide practical solutions for families, alongside supporting best practice and providing role modelling within the homes.
You will provide specialist nursing assessment, evidenced based intervention, practical advice and emotional support for family members of people with dementia, care staff and where appropriate people with dementia themselves, at all stages including bereavement.
You will assist with the development, evaluation and audit of this specialist area of practice and provide education for care home staff and families living with dementia, developing skills and competencies of the staff team in delivering best practice dementia care.
You will have the opportunity to access relevant courses and develop professionally, as informed by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework to maintain and strengthen your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse within dementia care.
