We are looking for an innovative Consultant Practitioner to work within the inpatient and crisis services in Cornwall.
The scope of the post covers acute, PICU, low secure and rehabilitation wards as well as home treatment, helpline and emergency assessments services in ED.
You will need to be a highly competent, visible, experienced, and autonomous practitioner, effectively functioning across the four practice pillars to develop the practise within the services.
Main duties of the job
Expert practice: establish values-based practice across the care pathway, service, organisation and system, working with individuals, families, carers, communities and others.
Strategic and enabling leadership: provide values-based and strategic leadership across the care pathway, service and systems within changing and complex situations.
Learning, developing, and innovation across the system: develop a learning culture to develop staff potential, add to and transform the workforce and help people to learn, develop and improve (in and from practice) to promote excellence.
Research and innovation: develop a 'knowledge-rich and inquiry' culture across the service and system that contributes to research outputs and has a positive impact on development, quality, innovation, increasing capacity and capability and the system.
You will need touse your expert knowledge and skills to provide consultancy across that takes in all pillars, to share expertise across the inpatient and crisis as well as positively impact the whole on the mental health care system. You will be expected to use your skills to engage both staff and system partners to best effect to maximiseopportunities to improve practice, services, communities and populationsas well as toadd and sustain the capacity and capability of the workforce.
