About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions to clients across a range of care settings. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans, and provide consultation and supervision to other team members.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and group interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide consultation and supervision to other team members, including psychologists, therapists, and support staff.
  • Contribute to the development of new models of integrated primary and community mental health services.

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Forensic Psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist or expected to be so prior to commencing in post.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a range of care settings.
  • Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, formulation, clinical interventions, and case management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients, families, carers, and other professional colleagues.
