Leadershipand Management
Provide expert leadership and direction on safeguarding matters within the organisation. Develop, implement, and review safeguarding policies and procedures in line with national guidelines and best practices. Act as a point of contact for safeguarding concerns and provide expert advice to staff at all levels, ensuring they are skilled and knowledgeable.Trainingand Development
Design and deliver comprehensive safeguarding training programs for all staff, ensuring mandatory training requirements are met. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and adjust content as necessary. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement in safeguarding practices.SafeguardingPractice
Ensure that all safeguarding concerns are identified, reported, and managed appropriately. Conduct or oversee safeguarding investigations and ensure appropriate action is taken. Support staff in managing complex safeguarding cases, providing supervision and guidance. Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective responses to safeguarding concerns.Auditand Quality Assurance
Implement and maintain robust systems for monitoring and auditing safeguarding activities. Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement. Qualifications
Essential
Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration. Significant experience in a safeguarding role within a healthcare setting. Advanced knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures. Experience in delivering safeguarding training and education. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and in multi-agency settings. Enhanced DBS check.
