This post is based around a planned movement scheme with MSK outpatients, Acute Elderly care, Respiratory medicine, Intensive Care, Acute stroke unit, Neuro outpatients and Community respiratory team

The role of the West Cumbria Physiotherapy Service is to provide efficient and effective patient focused care to all service users within primary and secondary care settings. This seamless provision ensures equity of service, patient choice and high standards of personalised care.

The service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation for patients with a wide range of long and short-term conditions.

This role offers you an opportunity to work within a team offering robust appraisals, preceptorship, clinical and managerial supervision. Continuing professional development is encouraged and we are proud of our varied and interesting in-house training programme which you will be involved in.

Main duties of the job

To practice in accordance with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Rules of Professional Conduct and The Health Professions Council Regulations.

To work autonomously with an increasingly complex caseload undertaking assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and providing appropriate advice.

Emphasis is placed on the provision of a holistic care package tailored to the individual's needs with the aim of developing maximum function and hence improving quality of life.
