Role Summary

An exciting 6 month secondment opportunity has arisen for an experienced, skilled and dynamic Occupational Therapist with a specialist interest in community to join our enthusiastic community-based therapy team in Bideford, North Devon. 

As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team the post holder will deliver clinical leadership alongside specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients and their carers. The post holder will work with the Therapy team lead to develop the service in line with patient need and trust wide progress to provide an equitable and an inclusive service across the Trust.

This is a 6-month secondment opportunity open to Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust employees. The post holder will be based in Bideford community hospital and be responsible for ensuring excellence within the Bideford community team through quality clinical leadership, initiating and partaking in service development, education programs and delivery, supervision and mentorship alongside the Therapy Team Lead. This is the ideal opportunity for either an experienced band 6 to gain further skills in clinical leadership at a band 7 level or for a current band 7 to diversify their skills in a different area of clinical work, team or location.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8:-:

Pay:  The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 4-5 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from October 4. If you join before this date, the pay award will be backdated to April 4 or your start date, whichever is later. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 3-4 pay bandings (Pay scales for 3/ | NHS Employers).
