Applications are invited from HCPC Registered Clinical or Specialist Biomedical Scientists in Flow Cytometery and Genetics to join the SIHMDS Laboratory within North West London Pathology at Hammersmith Hospital, hosted by Imperial NHS Trust.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated HCPC Registered Clinical or Specialist Biomedical Scientist with proven extensive experience of flow cytometry in the diagnosis of haematological malignancies to work in the Immunophenotyping section of the SIHMDS laboratory and contribute to the provision of a timely and efficient ISO15189 accredited service

Main duties of the job

Applicants should be HCPC registered and be highly competent in flow cytometry analysis and reporting. The post holder will have responsibility for managing the technical team, ensuring smooth running and quality management of the laboratory. Good communication, team working, and supervisory skills are essential to guide and manage the junior technical staff. They will also be required to take responsibility for delivering a high-quality routine laboratory diagnostic service for a range of specialised investigations including analysis, result evaluation, interpretation and reporting of haematological malignancies in a clinical setting.

NWLP Induction

The NWLP induction will run on the first Monday of each month (provided it does not fall on a bank holiday) and includes laboratory training (for relevant laboratory roles). All new staff must attend the NWLP induction during their first week with NWLP.

1st or 2nd Class Hons Science degree or equivalent. Completed suitable scientific training MSc in relevant discipline. HCPC Registration
