Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Plymouth. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a student with SEN in the classroom and during other school activities.
- Assist the student in managing their learning and social development, following their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective teaching strategies and interventions.
- Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the student with any personal care needs, as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications in Education or SEN support are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
