Applications are invited to apply for a Consultant Orthodontist post, based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a substantive part-time appointment on a flexible . PA job plan. The post holder will be part of an established multidisciplinary team providing orthodontic care for patients requiring orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, craniofacial surgery, orthodontic/restorative treatment and complex orthodontic treatment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team of Restorative, OMFS colleagues and several other medical related specialities.

Main duties of the job Undertake outpatient clinics new and follow-ups with supervision of junior staff as appropriate. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with dental and medical colleagues in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate activities. Develop and maintain good communication with General dental practitioners, colleagues in the salaried dental services and local orthodontic specialist practitioners. Orthodontic treatment of complex malocclusions Active involvement in Audit, Clinical Governance, morbidity and mortality meetings Participation in the departmental educational activity. Share responsibility for data protection particularly digital and electronic records. Ensure good clinical practice and continued professional development. The post holder will comply with infection control practices and any relevant trust policies and procedures with regards to Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults. Supervision of the Specialist Registrars, DCTs and therapists will be required.The appointee will participate in teaching of medical & dental students, dental DCTs, FYs, StRs, OMFS trainees and courses for General Dental Practitioners ( Section ) as required
