As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system.

As a Project Quality Specialist, your role is one of the most dynamic roles in our business. You will take ownership of quality requirements at every stage of the project life cycle. Working with teams globally you'll ensure our products are designed, developed and delivered with quality at the core.
 

As a Project Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Arrange & monitor client / 3rd party inspection activities for the Newcastle facility.

Generate required documentation to support on-site inspection / offsite activities, inspection scope of works / Purchase order management.

Pre-production readiness review, pre inspection meeting.

Check and approval of vendor Inspection and Test Plans.

Manage Inspection Matrix (inspection points, distribution lists).

Monitor and report Inspector Performance.

Communicate plan with internal and external parties to achieve schedule demands.

Seek to resolve issues, escalating to the Quality and Project teams as required.

Interface externally with Customer/Third Party/Certifying Authority representatives as required, for Project Team activities.

Liaise internally with the Project Managers, Project Engineers, Quality Engineers Sourcing Specialists to support schedule execution.

Ensure client inspectors have been inducted, obtained correct permits.

Vendor documentation management (Inspection and Test Plans / Manufacturing Record Books)

Issue resolution including root cause analysis.

Carry out Continuous Improvement activities.

Non-Conformance reporting.

Participate in Quality Engagements.

Perform any other duties as directed by Project Quality Manager.

Proven experience in a similar role.

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills.
