Protocol Education are working with partner schools in Greenwich Borough who are looking for Tutor with previous experience in Dyslexia support. As a leading provider of educational support services, we are committed to empowering young people with dyslexia and helping them overcome academic challenges. In this role, you will work closely with students, providing specialised tutoring and guidance to enhance their reading, writing, and overall academic skills.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions to young people with dyslexia, focusing on improving their reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension abilities.
  • Use evidence-based interventions and specialised teaching techniques to support students with dyslexia in their academic progress.
  • Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles and preferences.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and educational professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive support plan for students.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in dyslexia support, incorporating new strategies into tutoring sessions as appropriate.

Requirements: 

  • Previous experience of working with Dyslexia children in education setting ot turtoring setting. 
  • Understanding of Dyslexia and supporting children with patience, empathy and passion. 
  • Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and strategies for supporting individuals with dyslexia.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in education, special education, or dyslexia support are desirable.
  • Passionate about bringing difefrences in the lives of young children.
