Job Description

The Mobility Solutions group is responsible for liberating the full potential of urban transport and airline operators, helping them grow ridership, minimize costs and improve passenger experiences using a suite of Value-Added Services, chief among them the suite of Visa Acceptance Platform solutions, including Cybersource.

Reporting to the Vice President, Mobility Solutions, and in partnership with colleagues spanning product, sales, government engagement and client services, the successful applicant will lead the global Airline Acceptance Solutions team. Central to this role is the development and execution of regional strategies with colleagues, clients, airline operators and partners, to accelerate the growth of VAS revenues in support of divisional objectives.

This challenging role requires strong executive leadership and deep experience of running a global solutions function, with the abilities to influence key decision makers and deliver with impact across a complex group of partners, internally and externally.

What We Expect of You, Day to Day
  1. Successful candidate will have substantial experience of commercializing payments or similar services to the airlines industry, and be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business strategy to drive Acceptance Solutions growth in Airlines.
  2. Bring together cross-functional teams, along with a direct team of three (initially), to establish a solutions strategy that takes aim at the big payments challenges and opportunities facing the airline industry, through the various channels to market.
  3. Proactively manages deal pipeline, prioritization, and related OKR delivery, per region.
  4. Own a suite of Visa Acceptance Solutions for Airlines, along with all related marketing artefacts and pricing strategies.
  5. Develops and executes functional roadmap of Acceptance Solutions for Airlines, in concert with global product teams, to ensure enduring/increasing relevance of our solutions to target customers, across the solution lifecycles.
  6. Unlocks opportunities within the payment ecosystem that will showcase and inspire scaling growth of Acceptance Solutions, globally.
  7. The role demands robust executive presence, requiring regular senior interactions at the highest-level, with regional presidents, senior management of client or airline companies, GDS’, technology partners and the broader payments ecosystem.
  8. Global program development – tracking all deals and implementations, where relevant, reporting on progress/challenges, identifying standardization opportunities, maintaining communication across numerous different entities (internal and external).
  9. Oversee the development and maintenance of robust, visually appealing reporting or dashboards by the team and use concise language in all forms of communication.
  10. Provide guidance and support to your direct reports to ensure management rigour while being a role model to the wider Mobility Solutions team.
  11. Represent Visa at key global events as an influencer and leader with vision and passion, supporting marketing and comms to drive awareness of the value of our Acceptance Solutions.
  12. Management of global budgeting in concert with finance colleagues to ensure the strategy is funded for growth and prioritized appropriately.
  13. Oversee large, complex cross-functional implementations that can be time-consuming, assisted by an operating model that will be developed and championed to ensure maximum operational impact and efficiency.
  14. Support Visa’s acquisition and investment strategies where applicable.
Additional Information

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  4. 10 or more years of experience of working with C-suite members.

  9. Outstanding executive communication skills to develop presentations and associated summaries.
  10. Expert skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Cloud tracking tools.
  11. Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation necessary.

  13. Strong sense of urgency and experience driving to successful commercialization.
