SEN Teaching Assistant

A role as a SEN TA in Preston (PR1) has become available to support a KS2 Class Teacher for a candidate with the suitable qualifications and experience.

If you would like to work in a progressive primary school, boasting a friendly and efficient SENCo, please read the role description below.

The Head Teacher of this school is hoping to secure a Full-Time SEN TA on a temporary contract who can specialise in carrying out 1:1 intervention with a child in KS2 who has moderate learning difficulties. The successful candidate will be able to provide fulltime support to help this child achieve their maximum potential and allow them to engage meaningfully in mainstream school life.

SEN Teaching Assistant role

-          5 days per week, working 1:1 with a child in KS2 with MLD

-          Working closely with the SENCo and fellow SEN Teaching Assistants to create a safe and welcoming learning environment for the child.

-          Working closely with parents to ensure cohesion between school and home.

Details of the role

-          £12.90 - £13.50 p/h; paid on a weekly basis.

-          Full-Time 8:45 – 3:20 (with 30 mins lunch).

-          School graded ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED.
