We are working closely alongside a LocalAuthority in Enfield toassist with the appointment of aBehaviour Support Practitioner on a3monthcontract likely to be extended at clientsdiscretion. Please apply with your CV forimmediateconsideration.

Rateof Pay: 19.95 24.39 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive high quality safe care andsupport to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorderlearning disability behaviours of concern and those who may beexperiencing a mental health crisis using a Positive BehaviourSupport framework.
  • Supporting children andyoung people in the home the Centre or in the community to giveparents a break from their caringresponsibilities.
  • Working intensively withparents carers and school settings to embed strategies andinterventions that affect change build skills and developresilience.
  • Providing specialist advice andsupport to families on the phone or in person to prevent escalationof behaviours of concern in challengingsituations.
  • Work outside of normal workinghours to ensure advice and support can be provided in a timelymanner to avoid escalation of a crisis.

Qualifications:

  • NVQlevel 3 or equivalent in childcare and/or health and social care isdesirable.
  • Provenability to work directly with disabled children and young peoplewho have multiple and complex needs and behaviours of concern in aprofessional setting in family homes and in thecommunity.

  • You should beavailable to work immediately or at a shortnotice.
  • You should have right to work inU.K
  • This role requires anenhanced DBS
