You will be working alongside the Project Lead and Behaviour Analysts to provide intensive, high quality, safe care and support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disability, behaviours of concern, and those who may be experiencing a mental health crisis, using a Positive Behaviour Support framework.
The post holder will work co-productively with parents, carers, children, and young people to develop and implement robust Positive Behaviour Support plans, risk assessments, and other interventions that are accessible and affect positive change. Work will be across settings; in the community, family homes, schools, and the short breaks centre, and will involve professionals from other agencies.
You would be required to work shifts flexibly between the hours of 8am - 11pm Monday to Sunday on a rota basis, but please note the majority of work will be out of normal working hours (afternoons, evenings and weekends).
You must have:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present information to varied audiences, and demonstrate specialist skills to communicate with disabled children and young people using varied methods.
- Experience of working effectively in co-operation and partnership with professionals, partner agencies, private sector bodies, public agencies, voluntary bodies, and statutory agencies in relation to disabled children and their families.
- Ability to keep accurate records, organise, plan and coordinate work.
- Demonstrable experience of improving own and others practise to deliver high quality services.
Secondments are the temporary loan of an employee from one part of the organisation to another part of the organisation and rely on the secondee to return to their substantive position on completion of the secondment.
Those members of staff that are at risk of redundancy and on the Council’s redeployment register will be considered first.
