Join our team as a Legal Officer 

We are currently looking for a Legal Officer to join our growing team on a permanent basis. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with our Legal Services Team, providing in-house legal expertise on property disrepair claims and housing management litigation. Your role will be pivotal in supporting both our Legal Services Team and other key stakeholders, focusing on contentious housing management matters such as disrepair, EPA claims, money claims related to housing conditions, and complaints.

Some of the things we are looking for:   

  • Knowledge and Experience of defending property disrepairs claims 

  • Legal knowledge and experience of wider Housing Management litigation is considered beneficial 

  • Advanced problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills with the ability provide appropriate practical legal solutions 

  • Experience of dealing with local authorities, solicitors, Courts, and other relevant stakeholders 

  • Ability to collaboratively engage with all areas of the business and provide appropriate advice and to challenge as necessary 

  • A commitment to quality, customer service, best practice and value for money  

While this role is home-based, occasional travel to our Group offices (Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, and Central Park, Worcester) is required, approximately once a month.
