As a Payroll Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our operations, playing a key role in ensuring that all employees receive accurate and timely payments.
The Role
As part of our growing HR department, the Payroll team is responsible for over 9,000 Clarks’ people, in 23 different countries. Joining us, you’ll bring your payroll experience to a supportive, dedicated and very friendly HR team in an iconic, internationally successful, and ever-expanding business with ambitious growth plans. You’ll be involved in SAP related payroll processes to ensure that all of our people get paid accurately and on time. It’s a big task with lots of responsibility but don’t worry, you won’t be on your own. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team and work closely with them to ensure that processes are effective, up-to-date and internationally compliant. We want our payroll service to be world-class, just like our shoes – that’s where you come in.
About you
You’ll have proven experience working within a payroll environment, specifically with an understanding of statutory payment and deduction processing and the handling of sensitive data. Strong IT skills including SAP Payroll means you’re equipped to handle our systems. You’ll have a good understanding of payroll principles relating to the calculation of up to gross and gross to net. If you’ve worked with RTI, Pension Autoenrollment and salary sacrifice, that’d be even better. Ideally CIPP qualified or part qualified, you’ll also be well-organised, detail conscious, and comfortable working at pace to strict deadlines. You understand the importance of payroll to a global organisation, and you’ll use your skills and expertise to maintain our reputation for international excellence.
