Job summary

Learning and Development are looking for an individual who has excellent technical skills, specifically covering databases, learning management systems and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves researching technical queries and offering solutions by email.

Main duties of the job

To work as part of our technology enhanced learning team providing temporary, adhoc, high quality and co-ordinated support.

To provide a high level of technical skills to support databases and learning management systems.

To ensure that standards of service appropriate to the area of work are met and act and report on any concerns and delays that will affect staff, service, patients, or the organisation.

Job responsibilities

The post will vary depending on the assignment and department you are booked for. In essence you will be helping the Trust ensure continuous delivery of our services to our service users by providing short-term admin cover.

Interpersonal Skills

Essential

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using a variety of mediums to contribute to an effective work environment that creates positive working relationships. Ability to work effectively with others.

Ability to deal with complaints or difficult / emotive situations, as they arise taking appropriate action and knowing when to escalate.

Experience

Essential

Previous administration experience in a technical environment or evidence of education or training undertaken in computer science, digital learning, web design or database management

Previous experience in an NHS environment

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent IT skills including proficient use of Microsoft Office packages (or similar)

Desirable

Experience with databases, programming, web design or learning management systems Experience or a good understanding of eLearning authoring software Experience or a good understanding of Adobe Creative Suite Experience of producing transcripts or video subtitles

Qualifications

Essential

GCSE English Language and Maths Grade 4 or above or equivalent qualifications. Where an equivalent qualification has been obtained, please detail how this meets the minimum GCSE requirements in the supporting information section. , Functional Skills Level 2 qualification in English is equivalent to a Grade 4 or above.
