About the Role:

Ferrero is seeking a Supply Chain Controller for Finance who will play a crucial role in Planning & Controlling at the regional level, focusing specifically on supply chain costs, investment decisions, and the impact of stock management on cash flow. This position is pivotal in explaining deviations from set goals and proactively suggesting improvement actions to ensure that the region meets its targets.

The Supply Chain Controller will collaborate closely with the Supply Chain Procurement and the Regional Industrial and Commercial Supply Chain Department. This collaboration is essential to accurately define the business needs and related projects, as well as to develop financial business cases that support these initiatives.

Additionally, the person in this role will serve as the controlling reference point for Group Supply Chain Controlling specifically for the UK and Ireland, ensuring alignment with Ferrero's overall strategic objectives and maintaining rigorous financial oversight.

This position requires a logical thinker with a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a ability to work effectively across various departments to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain processes.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Supply Chain Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and operational success of the supply chain. In this dynamic position, you will work closely with key Business Partners to manage and forecast OPEX (Supply Chain costs), ensuring everything aligns with strategic guidelines. You'll conduct in-depth monthly analyses of both Industrial and Commercial Supply Chain costs, helping identify critical trends and deviations that will inform high-impact business decisions.

You will be at the forefront of evaluating new regional initiatives, providing insights that directly affect financial outcomes and returns on investment. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of the business by supporting decision-makers with detailed reports and recommendations. As an integral partner to Group/Area Industrial & Supply Chain Management, you’ll bring valuable insights through ad-hoc business cases, making you a trusted advisor in key decisions that will drive the company's operational strategy forward.

In addition to being a thought leader, you’ll ensure adherence to Group Supply Chain Controlling guidelines and collaborate with Area Operations Controllers to analyse business outcomes. You will be responsible for monitoring monthly actuals vs. target KPIs such as service levels and freshness, driving performance improvements across the organization. Your ability to manage cross-country supply chain information and challenge Business Partners on potential improvements will make you an essential asset to the team. Additionally, you’ll identify mitigation actions for any cost deviations, highlighting potential risks and opportunities to senior management.

When it comes to investment and contract management, you will help shape the strategic direction by supporting budget and forecast preparations, tracking investments, and evaluating new contracts. Your insights will guide investment decisions, making sure each initiative delivers value and aligns with the company’s goals. You’ll play a critical role in preparing materials for the Investment Committee and analyzing efficiencies vs. effectiveness to ensure long-term success.

In the area of stock management, you will take charge of planning and budgeting for stock value, performing variance analyses, and monitoring the impact of stock on regional cash flow. You’ll not only identify critical stock issues but also proactively implement recovery actions to meet regional targets. Your close collaboration with Group/Area Industrial & Supply Chain Management will allow you to continuously drive improvement and innovation in stock management.

If you're seeking a role where your skills in financial analysis, strategic planning, and supply chain management can truly influence business success, this position is your opportunity to shine. You'll be challenged yet empowered to lead change and drive growth throughout the business. You'll have the chance to impact key decisions at the highest levels. Join us and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our supply chain operations.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally, you will hold a university degree in Finance, Controlling, and Accounting, though this is not strictly necessary. Experience in a controller role, particularly within the FMCG/Manufacturing sector, is preferred. You should have a robust understanding of financial, accounting, and controlling principles, and be well-versed in commercial economics. Key to success in this role are strong interpersonal and leadership skills, along with a proactive and autonomous approach. Your excellent problem-solving abilities should enable you to deliver results on time. Strong communication skills and computing proficiency are essential. Experience with SAP is also considered beneficial for this position.

How to be successful in the role and at Ferrero:

Consumers, quality and care are at the heart of everything we do. So, to be successful at Ferrero, you’ll need to be just as consumer and product centric as we are - dedicated to crafting brilliant results for consumers around the world.
