Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join a well established Surgical Breast Care Nursing Team. The base is Laurel Unit Rugby St Cross, however cross site working is required, so the applicant must be a car driver. Applications are invited from experienced Registered Nurses with clinical experience in this field of nursing. This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 9 - 5 pm.

Main duties of the job
To provide high quality care for breast cancer patients and their families in the acute setting from diagnosis to adjuvant treatment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for caring and managing patients with a breast cancer diagnosis.
You must have the ability to work as an effective team member but also work autonomously.

Job description
Job responsibilities
1. Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to breast patients/carers and the multi-professional A skilled practitioner and clinical leader providing support to the management team, participating in service/policy A resource for staff, advising on national, local and Trust policy and procedures/guidelines, ensuring that clinical governance is embedded in Responsible for clinical assessment of a group of breast patients ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented, and evaluated/ Demonstrate a high level of technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management including complex patient monitoring; equipment management and defined expanded clinical roles seroma Responsible for education and training provision of identified staff groups, patients and carers within defined areas participating in supervision and mentorship as required.
