About Us:


 

At Long-Term Teachers, we support several special schools across Torbay and the surrounding areas, providing them with passionate and committed support staff. We are currently seeking SEN Learning Support Workers for full-time roles, to maintain stability and consistency for students. Part-time opportunities may also arise.


 

Key Responsibilities:


 

  • Support learning: Assist in the delivery of tailored lessons, providing 1:1 or small group support to meet individual student needs
  • Foster Development: Create a positive and inclusive environment, focusing on students’ social and emotional wellbeing
  • Collaborate: Work alongside teachers, parents and colleagues to develop and implement EHCP’s and track student progress.
  • Engage and inspire: Use creative approaches to engage students, helping them overcome challenges and celebrate their achievements


 

Ideal Candidate:


 

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or disabilities 
  • Full-time availability preferred 
  • Experience working with children, ideally within an educational setting
  • Reliable, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Access to your own vehicle and a valid driving licence
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviour and navigating difficult situations
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on young people’s lives


 

These roles involve supporting young people with a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PLMD, MLD and SLD. If you have experience working with special needs in any capacity and are passionate about helping children succeed, we would love to hear from you
