Role: SEN Support Specialists

Long-Term Teachers collaborates with various special educational institutions, providing dedicated and enthusiastic support personnel. These institutions often seek full-time staff to ensure continuity for their students, although part-time roles may also be available.

About the role:

  • Facilitate learning: Assist educators in delivering tailored lessons, modifying resources, and providing individualized or small group support to learners.
  • Promote growth: Create a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere, enhancing students' social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborate effectively: Work closely with educators, guardians, and other staff to develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Inspire engagement: Utilize creative and innovative strategies to captivate students in their learning journey, helping them to navigate challenges and celebrate their successes.

About you:

  • Experience working with individuals with special needs and disabilities.
  • Ideally available on a full-time basis.
  • Experience with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Must demonstrate reliability.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviors and difficult situations.
  • Genuinely passionate about positively impacting the lives of young individuals.

These institutions cater to students with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD, and SLD. If you have experience supporting individuals with special needs (even in care or support roles), are passionate about working with children, and are dependable, we would be interested in your profile.
