About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team on a flexible basis. As a Cover Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a variety of settings, including mainstream and SEN schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Adapt your teaching to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring they receive a tailored education.
  • Teach Across Subjects: Mainly core subjects (English and Maths) as well as life skills, promoting a well-rounded education.
  • Foster an Inclusive Environment: Create a supportive atmosphere that allows students to thrive, promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Work with Support Staff: Collaborate with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Promote School Ethos: Embed the schools' values, attitudes, and principles into your teaching practice, promoting a positive and respectful culture.
  • Manage Behaviour: Effectively manage student behavior, adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding and Welfare: Prioritize the safeguarding and welfare of all students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
About You
  • Qualifications: Hold a PGCE/QTS or QTLS qualification, demonstrating your teaching expertise.
  • Teaching Experience: Possess previous teaching experience, showcasing your ability to adapt to different learning environments.
  • Adaptability and Empathy: Demonstrate adaptability, proactivity, empathy, and a caring approach to teaching, ensuring a positive impact on students.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Possess excellent knowledge of the UK curriculum, enabling you to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with colleagues and students.
  • SEN Experience: Have experience or knowledge of SEN and appropriate strategies to support young people, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
