Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary Supply Teacher to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a supply teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of students in secondary schools across Torbay and Teignbridge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality lessons across various subjects in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity and consistency in the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and productive learning environment, promoting the well-being and academic success of students.
  • Support students with their learning, addressing any questions or concerns they may have, and providing individualized support to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless transitions and continuity in the delivery of the curriculum, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the school leadership team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and learning.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Ability to teach a variety of subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of students and schools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of schools and students, with a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
