Overview of the role:

To further support the growth and demands in the business, we are seeking an engineer that will be integral to the design and release within the electrical team to design and develop electrical circuits and harnesses for mid-Range projects.

Your Responsibilities as a EDS Engineer (Circuit and Harness)

Design and development of 12 and 24 Volt vehicle Electrical systemsElectrical distribution system definitionUnderstanding of safety critical systems and the application to electrical systems design and specification in harsh environmentsCircuit and harness design using Zuken E3CAD routing and packagingCreation of drawings and BOM in accordance with JCB standards and proceduresSpecifying of electrical and electronic components for use in the vehicle systemTesting and validation of machine electrical and electronic components and systemsDevelopment of technical specifications, Group Electrical Standards and instructionsCarrying out electrical system and installation reviews to known standardsInvolvement in warranty investigations into electrical system componentsSet-up and maintenance of development and validation rigs

Educated to a minimum HND level in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similarSelf motivated and capable of working well both alone and as a member of a teamAble to demonstrate significant experience in automotive or Off Road electrical systems designAble to use of Unigraphics NX and TeamcenterProficient user of Zuken E3Electrical circuit design expertHave a good knowledge of vehicle legislation and standards for UK, Europe and ROWThe ideal candidate should be a team player with a “hands on” approach to problem solving. You will operate and manage within a team and under your own initiative, interpreting specifications and contributing to technical discussions. Proven track record of project delivery.
